Christmas Trip Home - Day 3

Finally, we arrived in Dickinson!

Christmas Trip Home - Day 2

Day 2 was spent at the Lemnus house. Again, due to icy roads we decided to wait it out another day before heading all the way to Dickinson.

Christmas Trip Home - Day 1

Our trip back home to Dickinson this year for Christmas was quite an adventure! Three nights at three seperate places, not at all what mom and dad had in mind. The first night was spent only 100 miles west in the Jamestown Holiday Inn Express due to icy roads. This is Hayden and Addie playing in the breakfast area.

Hair designs - all done by Addison Grace.

Christmas Trees

This year I bought Hayden and Addie their own trees to hang all of the creations they have made over the years. They were a big hit and both seem to love them.

Thanksgiving 2010

Catching up for the last month! Thanksgiving brought lots of snow and bad weather to Fargo. However, we were lucky that Grandma and Grandpa made it to Fargo before the snow hit!

Hayden - Making Money!

Hayden and the neighbor boy offered to shovel our driveway today after the first snow. Ryan was gone this weekend so I thought it was a great idea. When they were done I gave them each $5. They got a quick drink and headed back outside. About an hour later they come back to tell me that the neighbor paid them $10 each to shovel his driveway and that next time I need to "pay them a little more". :-)

Hudson - Movin' and Shakin'

Our little man is crawling and is into everything! I leave for 2 minutes to rotate laundry today and this is what I come back to....little stinker. Can you see the guilty grin on that face under the binky?

Santa

One of the main reasons I started this blog was to try to capture some of pictures and conversations of my kids while they are young. I thought the conversations I had with Addie today was worth adding to the blog.

Me: Hey Addie we should go visit Santa next week. Are you ready to tell him what you want for Christmas?
Addie: Yep! Fruit Loops and a toothbrush!

Wow, that makes shopping easy. The thing I love about 3 is that she would actually be excited if that is what she did get. If we could only bottle that excitement for the years to come.

Another conversation later in the day.....

Me: Addie, we should also get Ms. Amanda (her teacher) something for Christmas. Any idea what she likes or wants?
Addie: Yep! A baby and a toothbrush!

Can't wait to pass that along to her teacher. :-)

I will have to ask Hayden the same questions this week and note them. The boy already has his Christmas list of about 15 items and none as easy as Fruit Loops or a toothbrush.

Addie's Fashion

One of Addie's favorite thing to do these days is change her clothes. On weekends we typically see her go through about 5 outfits during the day. Below are just a couple recent outfits that I captured. The "G" shirt is a birthday gift from Aunt Alyson and has become a favorite! Ryan is all about nicknames and calls her "G" for her middle name Grace. And yes, those are tights in the top picture.

ADDIE DO IT

ADDIE DO IT - Addie's favorite three words. Now we hear it when it is time to feed Hudson. In the end poor Hudson is usually covered from head to toe with food and so is our kitchen floor. Sometimes a little mess is worth a happy girl.

Hayden's DSi

Hayden has been begging us for months for a DSi. Ryan told him that he wouldn't buy him one until he could make 10 left-hand layups. Well, Ryan was gone all week and Hayden practiced until dark every night. He finally got it down..... So proud of him!
Two random things to notice about these pictures: 1) Hayden is in his room - somewhere he NEVER goes unless he doesn't want Addie to find him. :-)
2) Hayden's hair - Hayden has never cared about his hair or having "product" to put in his hair. However, AXE is a very big thing this year at school with the 2nd grade boys. What's next?
